Catching Up

"I can see air!"  - in referrance to having my sunroof open.


"Thats silly.  Dogs don't talk" - Bree says after seeing a cartoon of Martha Speaks

"Momma, why don't their mouths move when they talk" - Bree asks after watching an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba



"Can we go outside and catch some buggin' lights?" (lightning bugs)


Bree- "Mom, is this a tamote?"
Me - "No, Bree, its a REmote.  Say REmote."
Bree - "RE-tamote."
Me - "No, Bree, just REmote."
Bree - "Tree-mote."
Me - "No, Bree, its just..its just... just give it to me."



"I really, really love this movie" says Bree as we left the Archbold Community Theatre's performance of Annie.  I think we have a theatre buff in the making!

Home Remedies

Bree - "MOM!! Ketchup 'nd mac and cheese is GOOD!"

Me - "Really?  I'm glad you like it."

Bree - "It makes my belly feel better.  It makes my boo-boo better too."

Me - "Thats amazing."

Bree - "You wanna try it Momma?"

Me - "Noooo thanks, Honey.  Mommy doesn't like ketchup on her mac and cheese."

Bree - "Maybe when you're this many (holding up three fingers) you'll like it."

Me - "Maybe, Bree, just maybe."

Can we say 'Oink'?

Bree:  I'm hungry.  I didn't have dinner.

Me: Yes you did!  You ate one and a half peanut butter and jellies, chips and dip, four clementines and two small bowls of dried cereal plus a glass of milk!

Bree:  My belly not full.

Me: *sigh*

How dare I?

"Mama.  Mama.  Put a lid on it!" Bree yells to me after I give her an opened face sandwich!

Master Chef

"This is way, way good Momma!"  Bree exclaimed as she bit into her toasted english muffin with homemade apple butter.

Whatever floats her boat

"I'm gonna dip it Momma, Otay?" says Bree at dinnertime.

"Okay" I agree.  Wait a minute.  Dip what?

I turn just in time to see her dip her banana into her tomato soup.  Yuck!  However the flavor must have been great to her as she proceeded to eat her entire banana that way. 

Tattle-Tale

Lunch was on the table. Bree and I were getting ready to say our prayers.  I folded my hands, closed my eyes when:
